Today is the last day of July.  Here in Texas there's still plenty more summer ahead of us, but August still feels like a turning point somehow.  In my younger years I'd begin dreading back-to-school, and to this day, I don't like seeing school supply displays popping up in stores.  Ah well.

I'm hard at work on my next story.  It's about a girl who finds herself in a frat house full of hot guys, and she's not sure how she got there, or why.  But she sure does find them attractive, and hilarity ensues.

(except hilarity = lots of sex)

Stay tuned!

Yay, today is the day!  I just sent my first official short story in for publication on Kindle at Amazon.  After the story was written it felt like it took forever to figure out all the technical aspects of formatting the book with HTML and CSS and who knows what other acronyms.  Then there was the business of setting up this website, and a mailing list.  And now we wait for the book to go live on Amazon!

I've been dabbling in writing most of my life.  I sailed easily through English classes in school, and back when the internet was still in its infancy and hardly good for anything (except racking up AOL Online bills while you sat in chat rooms with strangers asking for your a/s/l) I published a paper-and-ink zine.  It was full of bad poetry and prose, short stories, and non-fiction.

I've maintained various blogs since then but this is the first time in a long time I've sat down with the intention to write fictional stories.  I have a lot of ideas rattling around in my head, anxious to get themselves down on paper (or on a computer screen, as the case may be.)  I'm glad you're here, whoever you are, reading this post - and I hope you'll stick around for a while.
